Caoilte, Cian and Carman, the Triúr Triallach, are on an expedition to the remote N’gomo valley of the Congo, avoided by the locals because of its reputed monster. Is this beast a figment of native imagination, or is there more to the blood-curdling night-time howls? The Triúr find more than they’re looking for — something very disturbing.
