Description

Dearthair agus deirfiúr iad Amy agus Jeaic agus is breá leo cuairt a thabhairt ar a sin-seanmháthair Mamaí Nain. Insíonn sí scéalta dóibh faoin seansaol agus tugann sí uachtar reoite dóibh. Ach is é scéal Choranna an scéal is ansa leo, an capall rása a bhuaigh Corn Chester in 1846 agus ar caitheadh an t-airgead duaise ar mhaithe leis na tionóntaí bochta a bhí ag fail bháis leis an ocras i Maigh Eo. Agus is iomaí scéal eile atáag Mamaí Nain; tá sí beagnach céad bliain d’aois.

Amy and Jack are brother and sister and they love to visit their great-grandmother Mammy Nan. She’s a great storyteller full of stories about times gone by and she always gives them ice-cream. Their favourite story is about Coranna, the racehourse that won the Chester Cup in 1846 and how the prizemoney was spent on helping the poor tenants who were dying during the Great Irish Famine in Mayo, Ireland.
