Other translators include Paul Muldoon, John Montague, Mary O’Malley, Brendan Kennelly, Philip Casey, Greg Delanty and Derry O’Sullivan. Michael Davitt was born in Cork in 1950. As a student in UCC in the late 1960s he was one of the instigators of the INNTI movement, a new vibrant wave of poetry in the Irish language, named after the magazine he edited until 1996. A recipient of the Butler Prize for literature in 1994. He is a member of Aosdána.
