An Anthology of Working People’s Prose from Contemporary Ireland
This is the first anthology to be published in Ireland which focuses on prose written by and about working people and their experiences, cares and concerns. The writers come from the whole island of Ireland, and their voices are intelligent, eloquent, and aware of the profound injustices which affect working-class people. They are also strong and resilient voices, able and willing to fight back and help create a better world for everyone. In the words of James Connolly, describing the Starry Plough banner: ‘A free Ireland will control its own destiny, from the plough to the stars.’
Ar na scríbhneoirí sa díolaim seo, tá Celia de Fréine, Linda Ervine, Tomás Mac Síomóin, Seosamh Ó Cuaig, Mícheál Ó hAodha, Eoin Ó Murchú agus Máire Dinny Wren.
