This song booklet is a tribute to those men and women who fought in the anti-fascist war in Spain. 1936-39. It was inspired by the walk over the Pyrenees in April 2006 that took in some of the route that the International Brigaders took in 1936-39.
Some of the songs are directly related to anti-fascist conflict; other, like ‘The international,’ ‘the Red Flag,’ and ‘I dreamed I saw Joe Hill last night,’ Are included because the were recognised bu the international community as songs that are common to us all and because people like Paul Robeson sang them.
