MAIDIR LEIS AN LEABHAR

Tá sé ráite ag an scoláire Philip O’Leary gur ‘serious injustice – to Titley, to literature in Irish, and to potential readers’ é a laghad ábhar critice atá scríofa air. Iarracht ar chuid den bhearna sin a líonadh atá sa leabhar seo, ina bhféachann Coilféir le teacht ar bhunfhoinsí ceapadóireachta Titley. Is é a shaothar scríofa agus stáitse, seachas a shaothar don raidió nó don teilifís, atá faoi chaibidil aige agus cuirtear san áireamh mórán gach a bhfuil foilsithe aige óna chéad alt i 1965 go dtí an t-alt is deireanaí uaidh in 2016. Mar is dual d’údar a bhfuil níos mó ná caoga bliain caite aige i mbun pinn, tá líon mór scríbhinní curtha de aige agus éagsúlacht mhór stíle agus scéalaíochta iontu dá réir.

ABOUT THE BOOK

Philip O’Leary has said ‘least serious’ – to Titley, the least critical material he has written. This book is an attempt to fill some of this gap, in which Coilféir seeks to find the original sources of Titley’s composition. His work is written and staged, rather than his work for radio or television, and his many articles from his first article in 1965 to his most recent article in 2016 are included. a pile of an author who has spent more than fifty years in pen, he has written a large number of writings and a wide variety of styles and stories.
