Following on from the award-winning album of the same name, this publication shines further light on the musical heritage of the Sliabh Beagh region of Monaghan and Fermanagh. Re-producing for the first time the long-forgotten music manuscript of James Whiteside (1844-1916), it explores the life and musical activities of the Monaghan schoolmaster and presents a unique snapshot of the region's rich musical past.
