Ba duine ilghnéitheach é Andaí Mac Dáibhéid (1914-2003) a rugadh i gClochar na nGabhar i nGaeltacht Thír Chonaill. Bhí sé ina shaineolaí ar chúrsaí aimsire agus bhí reachairt ar an réamh-aisnéis aimsire a thugadh sé ó Thír Chonaill go Ciarraí. Bhí buanna iontacha aige: an aibíocht intinne, an chuimhne, an deis a labhartha, an cruinneas, an binneas agus an Ghaeilge shaibhir ghlinn.
Bailiúchán dá chuid scéalta agus seanchais atá ar fáil sa leabhar seo mar aon le léargas ar an phobal as ar eascair sé agus ar stair shóisialta an phobail sin.
Tá dlúthdhiosca istigh leis an leabhar seo, a thugann deis dúinn cluas a thabhairt do scéalta agus do chanúint Andaí.
